IT’S TIME TO INVEST IN YOUR RELATIONSHIPS.

How I work

At the core of my approach to therapy is a focus on self-compassion.

“Imagine actually experiencing tenderness toward who you are-not just tolerating or enduring your life, your family, your relationships…but truly finding ways to love and honor them.”- Aundi Kolber

Hello, I’m Ellie. I am dedicated to helping adult women navigate relationships that are causing stress, anxiety, distance, depression, grief, or discomfort. My goal is to provide a safe and nurturing space for healing, empowering women to find peace and confidence in their relationships.

My approach is deeply empathetic, and I am committed to engaging in meaningful, transformative work with my clients. Many have described me as their biggest cheerleader, and I take pride in providing that encouragement and support. However, my role extends beyond support; I am here to challenge your perspectives, assumptions, and unhelpful thought patterns. Grounded in a philosophy of self-compassion, I will help reframe your outlook and provide practical tools, scripts, and reminders to navigate various relationships effectively.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas, with a Master’s in Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and bring a diverse range of experience from various settings, including schools, outpatient hospitals, dialysis clinics, in-home care, and residential treatment. My approach is eclectic, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Psychodynamic, and EMDR methods.

Outside of my professional life, I am married to the love of my life, and we are blessed with two children who bring joy to our lives. Having moved frequently due to my spouse’s nine-year military career, we are now happily settled in Fort Worth, Texas—our favorite place. In my free time, I enjoy bike riding and experimenting with new recipes. You’ll find me reading multiple books at any given time. Most importantly, I cherish spending quality time with my family.

This work is my dream job, and I feel honored to walk alongside my clients as a supportive and encouraging guide. My Christian faith is an integral part of my life, and I offer faith-based counseling if desired. I also deeply respect each client’s belief system and tailor my approach to best meet their needs.

I would love to partner with you on your journey to healing and peace. My goal is to make you feel truly seen, heard, and understood. Together, we will challenge unhelpful thoughts, gain new perspectives, and foster your personal growth. You already have the answers within you—you just need someone to listen, provide insight, and support your path forward.

You're here because you need support. You’re tired of doing this alone.

You’ve come to the right spot.

HEre’s what I believe about therapy:

Therapy isn’t for “weak” people.

Pursuing therapy takes immense courage. It can often feel easier in the short term to pretend everything is fine. However, the vulnerability required to show up for therapy reflects a profound personal strength. Acknowledging that you need support is a powerful step toward growth and healing.

The best investment you can make is in yourself.

Attending counseling with a family member can be a valuable step forward. However, my primary focus is on you as an individual. When relationships become difficult, tense, unclear, or distant, it’s essential to carve out time for personal reflection and growth. This self-awareness can help you cultivate and sustain healthy connections with others.

You are inherently deserving of healthy, loving relationships.

You deserve peace in your relationships. Feeling confident in saying no when necessary is truly empowering. By focusing on what you can control, you can foster healthier dynamics. Enhancing your communication skills and preparing for various conversations can alleviate anxiety and promote inner calm. Together, we can gain insight into your thoughts, identify unhelpful patterns, and explore new strategies to cultivate the peace you seek.

“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”
Romans 12:18
